Request For Information Crooked Run Cellars is a small family-owned winery located in a restored rustic bank barn, in Mt. Jackson, Virginia. Crooked Run Cellars is convenient to Harrisonburg, Winchester, Woodstock, New Market and Bryce Resort. Ideal for weddings, corporate functions, and private parties, the winery provides several facility options for your event. This unique and beautiful location will allow you to plan a celebration that suits your needs. Facilities The Tasting Room The Tasting Room is ideal for private parties and rehearsal dinners of up to 80 -100 people depending on seating. Soft lighting and a spacious tasting bar round out this cozy, elegant space. The Tasting Room is available between the hours of 6pm and midnight. The tasting bar may also be used for your event. The Lawn The Lawn is a large outdoor grassy area adjacent to the winery and tasting room. Tents can be placed on the lawn. Crooked Run Cellars reserves the right to use preferred tent rental service. Rental Fees Rental fees start at $800 for weekdays and $1200 for weekends. The exact cost will depend on the type of event, areas needed, and number of persons. Fees include use of the facility, Crooked Run Cellars logoed stemware, private dressing area, catering area, and one winery employee present at the event. A 50% non-refundable deposit and a signed rental agreement are required to reserve the date. This deposit is applied to the balance of the event. The remaining 50% is due 14 days prior to the event. There is no tentative booking or “penciling in”. A credit card number is required for a security deposit the day of event. Your card will not be charged for the security deposit if clean up is satisfactory and no damages to the facility or stemware has occurred. Additional Information Only Crooked Run Cellars wines may be served and can be purchased through the tasting room for a discount. Beer and liquor may be served with an approved banquet license issued through the ABC. Unless arranged ahead of time, the Tasting Room cannot be turned over for a private event until 6pm. Food related garbage must be gathered and put in the appropriate containers before leaving the facility the day of the event.Tents and other rentals must be removed the day following the event. Cleanup should be completed by 10am the day after the event. All guests must exit the facility by midnight the day of the event. Music We welcome either DJ’s or bands and electronically amplified music is permitted. This includes the use of a stereo or any speaker system that requires plugging into an electrical outlet. All music must be stopped by 11pm. Wine Purchasing Guide To help you plan for the wine you will need for your event, we are providing the following guidelines. Crooked Run Cellars offers discounts for all the wine purchased for your event. You will receive a 10% discount for the first 5 cases you purchase and a 15% discount for any additional wine purchased prior to the event. Any wine purchased the day of the event will be at full price. Please note all sales on the wine you purchase are final. We cannot accept returns. Things to consider You will want to decide how many glasses of wine you want each guest to have. Consider the type of event you are having and the length of the event. Most caterers recommend 2-3 glasses of wine per guest for the average wedding reception. Each case of wine holds 12 bottles. Each bottle contains approximately 4 glasses of wine. If you would like each guest to have three glasses of wine, each case will serve 16 people. We suggest setting up a private tasting, so you can pick you favorite wines for your event. We understand that each event is unique and your needs may vary from these guidelines. These figures are provided merely to provide you with some basic information. You may wish to consult your event planner or caterer for further suggestions.
